I just discovered this website yesterday, but I have to say, after reading just two of your posts, this is one of the best sites I have found on nutrition and lifestyle change! Thank you!

Jesse is right on when he says how good you feel once you start ... I can't even begin to put into words how much better I feel not only about myself, but about EVERYTHING that surrounds me when I exercise daily and just eat natural foods.

And I would just like to add for those of you who may have a long journey ahead of you, like I did, you can't worry about 50 or even 100lbs you should lose (even if your doctor is screaming at you about it), worry about the 5 or 8lbs you CAN lose this month. Don't worry about giving up ALL your favorite crap foods today, eliminate one item at a time, or one serving from your weeklly intake. It will add up in the long run and remember two things: Change IS good and life is about being happy with yourself first.

Thanks again for all your words of wisdom! I will definately be spreading the word!

Hey Mike, I couldn' agree more. As helth professional to health professional, keeping wellness simple is key. Finding your passion and translating it to everyday, be it health, wellness, employment, whtever is so important to help us keep the motivation.

Be well.

I definitely think there is a positive link to simplifying life, getting rid of all the unnecessary, and getting more done of the things that are important. Otherwise all the mental clutter just sabotages us from the start. After all....it is not staying busy or multitasking...but rather just doing more of what matters with plenty of time for self-observation. All our answers and solutions are inside of us, if we take the time to listen.

As an Ontological Life Coach your article beautifully hits the mark! We all have the option of choosing our actions. Part of the work I do is helping clients become better observers of themeselves. Taking the time to hear personal judgements and opinions and the emotions they carry will help us to learn how we sabatoge what we claim we so dearly want to achieve. These shifts don't happen overnight. It requires new practices to support us in creating new actions. It takes a minimum of 90 days to create hew habits. Don't give up, hang in there and if you need help hire a professional coach like Mike or an Ontological Life coach to provide accountability and focus! Good Luck!
